Parliament Logjam on National Herald Case - A Political Vendetta or Frictional Politics

Vendetta, an English word, now politically recognized. Cambridge Dictionary define as – A long and violent argument between people or families in which, one group tries to harm the other in order to punish them for things that happened in the past. Looking to the meaning of Vendetta, from no angle it seems like a political but it is in use in Indian Society by top brass leaders of India, describing their positions. Some are recognizing himself as victim – innocent, alleging to other brands for misappropriate uses of such.

November 27 2015, Suddenly social media started smiling, when they heard about a distinguish Chai session, Chai- Pe-Charch, very extraordinary word – Chai, I guess- it was  biggest nightmare of UPA during Lok sabha polls. People were astonished but considered as mood of nation. Astonished, why because, PM Modi had invited Madam Sonia along with Ex-PM Dr Manmohan Singh for bilateral dialogues and to find a mid way over GST.

GST Bill was introduced during UPA regime in 2013 but after oppose of few states rolled back. NDA efficiently suggested many changes and re-introduced this year with an addition of four components as per oppose of States. Petrol and Liquor are kept out from the list. Entry tax also excluded. A bonus benefit is suggested as 1% tax levy for maximum of 2 years. Means all 4 demands, which were in oppose during UPA regime, considered logically.

Movie was playing very nicely. All actors of UPA and NDA were performing their characters efficiently. People from every section were hopeful for GST-DJ and were asking each other about the consequences. BJP was very happy, was expecting a major breakthrough after Bihar defeats. One Bhajan song in the movie also ended gently when Chai wala PM offered tea to Madam Sonia and old owner Dr Manmohan singh of the same place at 7 RCR. Chai-pe-charcha completed successfully. Parliamentarians were in healthy mood. SP and JDU specially cleared their stand on GST in favor of govt. BJP was busy in calculating required numbers to pass GST in Rajya Sabha.

Suddenly a political asteroid landed among Parliamentarians and everything changed. Ghost of National Herald damaged entire calculations.  The Delhi High Court dismissed plea of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi to quash the summons issued by trial court in the National Herald case. A festive mood circled the Modi fannisters and Dr Swamy camp. Saffron social media started celebrating the moment. Dr Swamy claimed the victory of justice. Anxious on GST, Modi Govt immediately sidelined himself and declare it words between Court and Dr Swamy. BJP cleared, they have nothing to do with National Herald in political terms.

UPA realized the fatal position and declared it as nothing but a Political Vendetta. Madam Sonia and RG also declared it as Vendetta, questioned on intensions and interventions of Govt over National Herald.

Entire political scene suddenly changed within an hour of rejection of plea over National Herald. Congress intensified his attacks in Parliament also. BJP completely denied any involvement and declared it as whims and fancies of a particular family. Rack-suck continued for many hours first in Parliament and later-on Parliament postponed for full day. Next day also similar attacks are carried out by Congress and counter parts of UPA. Anxious BJP questioned the intensions of congress and UPA and stated the fear of Winter session washout similar as Monsoon session due to continuous Parliament logjams. Finance minister Mr Jaitley reminded the legacy of first Parliamentarian of India, Mr J L Nehru  and his words in the first meeting of Parliament and encouraged for bilateral talks and requested to settle the issue through debate – the  healthy culture.

First try to Understand, What is the case of National Herald. The National Herald Case is the ongoing case filed by Indian economist and politician Dr. Subramanium Swamy against politicians Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, their companies and associated persons in a court in Delhi. As per the complaint filed in the court of the Metropolitan Magistrate, Indian National Congress granted an interest-free loan of 90.25 crore (US$13 million) to The Associated Journals Limited (AJL), owner of National Herald Newspaper. It was alleged that the loan was either not repaid or repaid in cash which is in violation of Section 269T of the Income Tax Act, 1961. A closely held company Young Indian was incorporated in November 2010 with a capital of 5 lakh (US$7,500) and it acquired almost all the shareholding of AJL and all its properties (alleged to be worth 50 billion (US$750 million)). Dr. Swamy alleged criminal misappropriation by Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi in this matter.

Prima facie, It persist like Parliament logjam is aiming to put pressure on running Govt to minimize their interventions in the National Herald case, if any or Congress and UPA is confronting himself for further proceedings of Parliament to to bring Govt in a compromising position.

In this matter, Modi Govt is simply trying to encash opportunity in two modes. First –  Trying to ride over Social Media trials in their favor and simultaneously they want to encash the popularity of Dr Swamy in their own favor. Second – after a big setback in Bihar, BJP has received an opportunity to harness their anti-corruption image and want to make up all losses of Delhi and Bihar defeats, for that BJP is involving himself in more and more Main Stream Media trails to clear and reflect their stands on corruption.

Govt has three major challenges. First they want to pass Bills in parliament where UPA is enjoying majority in Upper House (Rajya Sabha). Second, Govt wants to give a clear indications to his supporters that their stand is very clear on corruption. Third, Govt knows very well that so far they have not implemented a single big plan, which may touch the grass root level of Indian voters and Govt is very much hopeful in mode of financial touch with GST.

Rahul ji and his team has major three challenges. They want to gear another Bihar in Assam, West Bengal and UP. The National Herald may be a big damage to Rahul’s clean image irrespective of his party. Social Media expert – Mr Prashant Kishor has also suggested the same to Rahul ji to create an image of BECHARA. Means Rahul ji is a nice guy, irrespective of party and politics, means he will not do the same as previous leaders of Congress has done if he voted to power. Second – Rahul ji knows very well, Social Media is power of Modiji. A wrong message is coming to ground that Congress is saving his bad deeds by logjams of parliament. And again he is realizing that his all tourism to common man and ground people will go in vain if traced in national Herald. Third, This is holy truth that BJP is continuously losing grounds as so far they fail to reach the poor common man, hence if they will not create a tussle then they will be under tremendous pressure to run the parliament and pass the bill in wake up of country progress. Then entire credit will reach to Modi ji accounts automatically.

Each Parliament logjams is extra burden on every common man, which leads to a loss of Rs 2 crore per day. Apart from this, sometimes this may lead to more than 100 crores in a week due to late implementation of financial activities or obstruction in delay in decision-making. Economy of country also effects from it,  which finally kills human emotions and expectations of crores of citizens/voters of India and they feel like direct dacoity in the pockets of every tax payers.
Recent Parliament logjams are also reflecting, one type of Friction Politics in India. Congress and UPA is obstructing Parliament houses but fail to give a clear message to common people of India.

Not scared, I am Indira’s Daughter-In-Law, says Sonia Ghandhi.

Congress  claimed that disruptions in RS were a protest against BJP’s inaction in Vyapam and Lalitgate Scam.

Democracy can’t function on and fancies of anyone, says Modi ji.

Democracy has two threats – Mantantra and Dhantantra, says Modi ji.

We oppose Polavaram - BJD

Democracy cannot be restricted to elections and Govt alone, says Modi ji.

Modi teri tanasahi nahi chalegi – Chant of Opposition during Logjam inside houses.

Modi, Amit Shah fought legal battles with dignity, BJP never disrupted Parliament – M. Venkaiya Naidu

BJP under pressure from RSS to block GST Bill – Randeep Surajewala.

No link between GST, National Herald issue – Rahul Ghandhi.

Arun Jaitley seeks Congress support to GST, says India can touch 9% growth.

Looking to entire wordings of parliamentarians, it is quite clear that these people are not very clear on their stands. Simultaneously Modi Govt is giving a helpless message to Indian people, which are expecting a Macho -   56 inch after giving them clear mandate. Modi Govt is fail to run both houses, which is the sole responsibility of ruling party.

End of this Story is, A clear message is coming to us that Indian Politics is riding on Personal intensions, welfare and country is secondary. We want development, best facilities and welfare of every last men of society  and in return we are paying our duties in form of tax and civil liabilities. This is a highest disappointment to every voter of India, who feels that leader is working or in feel of Political Vendetta, ignoring their problems. Also this is a biggest setback that Parties are not clear on their stands and they are not aiming the final goal means progress of every last common man. These days voters are also amid confuse over Frictional Politics of various parties. In recent development, In Bihar Assembly Polls,  the victory margin of winning  Candidate was less than NOTA votes in 23 assemblies. Means many people had casted  NOTA which cannot be considered, good for democracy in any aspects. This is leading to a national shame for all us that even parties are failed to provide a single suitable candidate.

We do appreciate our Parliamentarians efforts. Please settle your disputes among each other and work jointly for the welfare of your own people. We request continuous running of both houses. We urge for proper dialogues, Parliament Logjams can never be a true practice of sensitive leader. This is the duty of ruling party to convince opposition at any cost, which reflects the beauty of democracy. Let us work together, Let Parliament work.

Two Titanic, Sinking Ships of India – Bihar and Odisha

Asoka The Great attacked on that powerful & trade hub state Kalinga, where Kharavela from Mahameghavahana dyanasty was ruling  in 261 BC. The cruel king of Maurya dynasty fought a deadly fight near Daya river, almost 1.5 lakhs people killed in that and finally Asoka won but lost his cruelness. He became Buddhists saint and started spreading Buddhism with Karuvaki. Kharavela was great warrior and was responsible for propagation of Jainism in Indian sub-continent.

Recalling the powerful, glorious and historical past of both states, make us proud and very delightful. Bihar and Odisha both separated from Bengal in 1st April 1936, recognized as two different states. At present GDP of Bihar is around $59.4 billion, Odisha is around $46 billion.  If we look for the distributions of their economy, in Bihar – 22% agriculture, 5% Industry and 73% service whereas in Odisha – 15.4% agriculture, 33.34% industry and 51% services. Population of both states are 9.3 crore and 4.3 crore respectively. Growth rate of both states is not so smooth.

Growth rates of both states are given below :

FY                                Bihar                   Odisha

2007-08                      7.6%                      10.95%
2008-09                      14.5%                    7.75%
2009-10                      10.5%                    4.55%
2010-11                      14.7%                    7.50%
2011-12                      13.1%                    4.94%
2012-13                      15.05%                  9.40%
2013-14                      8.82%                    5.60%
2014-15                      9.92%                    8.78%

Bihar is expecting 10% growth, Odisha is eyeing with 8.1% and India as a whole on 7.5% - 8.5% in 2015-16.  As on today India has achieved 7.3%, for the first time, GDP has crossed the magic mark of $ 2.06 trillion.

These figures may be looking somehow fruitful in India but in Bihar and Odisha, it is red-triggered. We will go on ground reality, we will find that 90% households of Bihar still lives in rural areas, in Odisha, it is around 87% out of that 0.03% households has no shelter in Bihar, 0.06% in Odisha. Around 59% households of Bihar are casual labors, 65% households has no land, 18% households are engaged in agricultural works. Same hand in Odisha, 70.5% households are casual labors, 54% households has no land, 23% households are engaged in agricultural works.

Coming to income in Bihar, around  70% households earn less than Rs 5000 in a month whereas condition of Odisha is furious, it is around 87.88%. Around 54,199 houses of Odisha are fully dependent on alms, provided by govt. Around 4% female households are either widow or divorced in Odisha, who has no care taker.

SC/ST people are most neglected one in society and are maximum sufferer of any kind of developments, due to their indigenous claims over dependency on land and forest but such dependency never taken in accounts except few onetime payment of some financial supports. From British rule, we are following the principle of “Eminent Domain” which means any unclaimed land or land without patta is govt property and hence SC/ST people are maximum sufferers because they never owns any lands due to their Khanabadosh nature.

SC people are around 3.33 crores households in India, 29 lakhs households in Bihar and 15 lakhs households in Odisha. SC are around 2 crores households in India, 3 lakhs households in Bihar and around 20 lakhs households in Odisha. 23% households of tribal and 16% households of SC in Odisha earns less than Rs 5000 same hand in Bihar it is 1% households of tribal and 14% households of SC earns less than Rs 5000. Not only that only 1% household of tribal in Bihar are engaged in agriculture in Bihar, rest 15% households are manual labors and others are engaged in different different works. Only 1% households of SC are engaged in agriculture, 14% are manual labors and rest in small small jobs. In Odisha, around 2.36% tribal households and 2% SC households are engaged in agricultural works, 13% tribal households and 13% SC households people are working as manual labors and rest in small jobs. 0.54% SC households and 0.48% tribal households are engaged in govt jobs in Odisha.

Conditions of women are also very worse in Odisha and Bihar. Around 50% women are illiterate. Around 1.7 lakhs women households in Odisha are engaged in agricultural works, 6 lakhs households as manual labors, 1% households in various small works and heads their houses. In Bihar, 2.5 lakhs women households are engaged in agriculture, 12 lakhs households as manual labors and 0.5% households in various small jobs to serve their households. Around 50000 women households in Odisha are engaged as domestic servant and around 24 thousand households are fully dependent on begging/alms.

Odisha has 25% India’s iron reserves, 10% steel productions, top producer of aluminum, owning 7381 MW of power plants, coal reserves, bauxite reserves, Manganese reserves etc are available with lots of other resources but still Odisha is poorest in India. Bihar carries 58% population below 25 years, wide range of human resources, plenty of fertile lands, still industrial revolution in Bihar is awaited.

Lack of political willingness, extreme poverty, illiteracy, corruption and lack of vision of future roadmaps and policies are few major problems of Bihar and Odisha. In Bihar, leaders are engaged in caste and vote bank politics, whereas, in Odisha, leaders are engaged in freebie-politics.

Major reasons of Titanic tragedy was :

Warnings ignored: Before journey of Titanic, several warnings were issued about iceberg but crew had ignored all.
Binoculars were locked: Binoculars of Titanic were locked up by crew members, hence they fail to see iceberg from marginal distance.
Less life Boats: Titanic had very less life boats.
Steering error: Major reason of Titanic drawing was steering error. It was told to push the tiller right to make the ship head left, but in wrong communication it reached to down label to push the ship turn right.
High speed: Over confident screw of Titanic was running ship at high speed of 22 nots (41kmph), just few less than maximum speed 24 knots (44kmph). Low grade iron rivets were used in manufacturing of Titanic.

Same way, Odisha and Bihar are running on instant profit making paths, ignoring all warnings and inputs. Poor governance and high corruption has made lots of things miserable. Freebie, unemployment, political interests and lack of capacity building are few reasons, which are carrying both states on the path of self destructions. In Bihar, wrong political moves has destroyed all arithmetic calculations. Corruptions, Kidnapping and crimes are rising heads.
